Collins Commits to Fitchburg State

EHL Forward and Captain Commits to the Fitchburg State Falcons

BURLINGTON, VT – The Vermont Lumberjacks are happy to announce the commitment of Jackson Collins to Fitchburg State Falcons (NCAA Division III, MASCAC). The 5’11” forward from Wake Forest, North Carolina is a three year Lumberjacks Veteran and team captain. Jackson has 9 goals and 39 points to date this season.

 

“Jackson is a person of high character, and it translates to the ice as well” said Head Coach Seth Gustin. “He puts others before himself, has tremendous work ethic, and has done a great job as part of the leadership group this season. He is a model Lumberjack, and I know he will continue to positively impact those around him not only at Fitchburg State but in everything he does in life. Congratulations, and thank you to Jackson for his commitment to our organization. He has earned every bit of his success and I look forward to his future.”

 

“Fitchburg State is getting one of the most coachable, hard-working, leaders both on and off the ice” added Coach Jack Lowry “It is great to see Jackson reach his goal. His best is yet to come.”

 

Of his commitment Jackson “I’d like to thank all my family, friends, and coaches who have helped, pushed and most of all supported me through my career. I also would like to thank the Lumberjacks for the past three years. The Lumberjacks taught me what hockey was all about and gave me a second family. I will always cherish my time and people I have meet in Vermont. I couldn’t have asked a better place to spend the last 3 years.”

 

Jackson becomes the third Vermont player to join the Falcons since the organization moved to Vermont for the 2014-15 season while two Washington Nationals (Lumberjacks previous name) also played for the Falcons.
