BURLINGTON, VT – The Vermont Lumberjacks are pleased to announce the commitment of William Billequey to Manhattanville College this Fall of ‘23. The 6’0" Lumberjacks starting goalie posted an impressive save percentage of 0.935 this season. The Laval, QC native played two seasons with the Lumberjacks EHL team.
“Will was the backbone of our team this year” said Head Coach Seth Gustin, “ and was a huge part of our success. He was steady, reliable, and someone we could count onto manage the game. It’s been a pleasure coaching Will the last two seasons and watching him develop into the goaltender and person he is today. Being extremely driven, he had goals that he put the work in to set himself up for the success he has received.”
“Thanks to my family and friends for supporting me and helping me reach my goal of playing NCAA hockey” said Billequey. “I am also extremely grateful for the opportunity coach Gustin and the Lumberjacks gave me this year. I’ve really enjoyed my time in Vermont and I am excited to pursue my career at Manhattanville College.”
Will becomes the 4th Lumberjack player to commit to the Valiants since 2019. Coach Gustin also went on to say “Manhattanville is getting both a great goaltender and awesome person. Best of Luck, Billy!”
