The Vermont Lumberjacks are proud to announce that forward Brad Reitter (Grand Rapids, MI) has committed to Suny Canton (NCAA Division D-III) for the fall of 2016.  The 5’8”, 170-pound forward has a team leading 9 goals and 29 assists (38 points) through 41 games of the 2015-16 season.  Reitter possesses tremendous quickness and great vision on the ice – all skills that will lead to success playing for the Kangaroos.

“This past year Brad has given our organization his heart  and total commitment.

Brad is such a great person and good teammate. We are so pleased to be associated with him and his educational journey.  Brad has tremendous character and work ethic.  What he lacks in size, he more than makes up in effort and grit”, commented Head Coach Doc DelCastillo.

Upon making his decision and commitment Brad Reitter said, “I'm excited to announce my commitment to SUNY Canton for the fall of 2016. I would like to thank my dad, family and friends for helping me along the way. Also, I would like to thank Coach Doc and the Lumberjacks organization.  Without the help of Coach Doc and the Lumberjacks, I wouldn't have been offered this great opportunity. My fellow teammate Patrick Farnan has also committed to SUNY Canton and I'm excited to be able to play with him for the next 4 years. I'm very grateful for this opportunity and excited to start the next chapter of my life. Go Roos”.

“Since the first time I met Brad, he has continuously demonstrated respect and great character representing the Lumberjacks organization.  This is what I focus on when we recruit players. He will represent the Lumberjacks for years to come as he enters a new phase of his life.  I am very proud of Brad and wish him nothing but success in both his academic and hockey pursuits”, remarked Mr. Lary, owner of the Vermont Lumberjacks.

“Our organization is very proud of Brad and we wish him the best as he pursues a degree and continues his hockey career. It will be exciting to follow his college career beginning the fall of 2016,” stated Head Coach Doc DelCastillo.

Reitter’s commitment is the third NCAA commitment from the Vermont Lumberjacks this 2015-16 season.  The Vermont Lumberjacks organization, proud members of the Eastern Hockey League (EHL), congratulates Brad Reitter on his commitment to SUNY Canton.
