Both Lumberjacks Squads Geared Up For Busy Week

BURLINGTON, VT -- The players are coming back to Burlington after the Thanksgiving weekend, as both squads have a busy week ahead of them with seven combined games between the two teams. Going into the week the EHL team currently sits in 2nd place in the New England Division with a record of 14-6-0. The EHLP on the other hand continues to lead the pack in the North Conference, with a 36 points through the first 20 games of the season.

EHL

The EHL team will resume play on Wednesday with a matchup against the East Coast Wizards down in Bedford, MA. This will be the 2nd game between the two teams this season with the Wizards winning the first matchup by a score of 7-2. However, the Wizards are currently on a three0game losing streak and sit in 3rd place in the Boston Division with a record of 13-8-0. Puck drop is scheduled for 1:00pm.

The boys will then return home for a busy weekend, starting with a matchup with the Total Athletic Seahawks at 1:00pm on Friday. This will mark the first of four meetings between the two teams this season. Following the game on Friday, the EHL team will welcome the Boston Jr. Rangers to town for a pair of games. This will also be the first matchups between the two teams this season. The Saturday battle is scheduled for 7:00pm, while the Sunday game is set to start at 12:00pm.

EHLP

The EHLP squad is geared up for an exciting three-game series at home against the Boston Jr. Rangers this upcoming weekend. The Lumberjacks currently lead the Rangers by just two points in the North Conference, but lost the only matchup between the two teams back in October. The boys will look for revenge this time around, starting Friday night with a 7:30pm scheduled puck drop. Game #2 of the series is scheduled for 4:00pm the next day, and the two teams will wrap-up the series with a 9:00am puck drop on Sunday morning. The two division rivals won't square off again until they meet for another three-game series down in Tewksbury in the middle of February.

Looking Ahead

After the busy weekend, the EHL squad will take a road trip down to Pennsylvania to play both the Philadelphia Revolution and the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights next weekend.

The EHLP squad on the other hand will stay at home for a pair of matchups against the Central Penn Panthers.
