The Vermont Lumberjacks are proud to announce Jack Lowry as the Head Coach of the EHL Premier Team.

Coach Lowry comes to us with 25 years of coaching experience and is former college player at Boston College and then the University of New England. In addition to Premier Head Coach, Coach Lowry will also have the role of being an Assistant Coach of the EHL team, as well as running both the team video and 1-on-1 video sessions with all players to further their individual development. Coach Lowry has a very in-depth knowledge on all facets of the game. Jack will be in charge of enhancing the development and designing skills sessions for players within the organization.

Jack states, “I couldn’t be happier to have the opportunity to Coach here in Vermont. The Lumberjacks have a great history of competing at the highest level, while also taking pride in how they treat their players. I look forward to working with Coach Mosso and doing everything I can to help each of these young men pursue their college and career aspirations.”

After Jack’s College Hockey, he signed a pro contract with the Washington Capitals in 1980, however his playing career came to an end due to an injury. He began his coaching career immediately after. Jack spent the last few years coaching Juniors with the Hartford Jr Wolfpack Elite team in the USPHL and the Maine Wild in the NA3.

Coach Mosso is very excited to work with Jack. He states, “I have been watching Coach Lowry for a few years now and have been very impressed with how he conducts himself with his players. I have witnessed his ability to take average players and make them great. I think hiring a development coach is exactly what our program needed. The goal is to provide the support for the players on the Premier Team to receive an opportunity at the EHL level, and then for those players to make it to a college program.”
